The salary range for this position is 70k - 90k (plus Super) Full time fixed term for 2 years until October 2020. The Connecting Care Program and Parkville Electronic Medical Record (EMR) The Connecting Care EMR Program is a digital partnership between Melbourne Health (MH), The Royal Women s Hospital (RWH), Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) and the Royal Children s Hospital (RCH) to transform patient care and research in the Parkville precinct. Connecting Care will expand the cutting-edge RCH Epic EMR to operate across the four health services, creating one powerful shared clinical and research system and setting a new benchmark for EMR technology in Australia. The Opportunity As part of this team, you will make a valuable contribution to the delivery of patient care, gain new skills and experience and expand your future career opportunities. As a Connecting Care Inpatient Analyst, you will be responsible for the design, build, configuration, testing and implementation of the Inpatient applications, functions and deliverables for the EMR at Melbourne Health, the Royal Women s and Peter Mac. Successful applicants for an Inpatient Analyst positon will be assigned, depending on skills and experience, to either the Clinical Documentation or Orders & Results project teams, which are part of the larger Inpatient project team and report to the RCH EMR Inpatient Application Manager. Inpatient project team responsibilities including the following functional areas Clinical Documentation - All clinical documentation across specialties, disciplines and departments, clinical handover, discharge summaries, PICU / NICU functionality, device integration, decision support, recording documentation and conducting barcode validation at the patient bedside, and care plans. Orders & Results - Pathology & radiology, investigations, ordering allied health and specialist nursing services, diets, order sets, results display, endorsement and escalation, and decision support. Requirements for the role These positions would suit candidates with a clinical background and/or skills and experience within the following professions Nursing, Midwifery or Allied Health Medicine Health Information Manager/Health Informatics Medical Imaging Technologists Recent undergraduates in the above fields Radiation Therapists Other healthcare professionals with clinical system experience The successful applicant will have Experience working in a tertiary hospital Experience in the implementation of an EMR or eHealth system A tertiary degree is desirable.
