About the Position State government, immediate start 4 month role, with a view to extend VPS5-6, Based in Kew The Procurement Assurance Specialist is required for a vacancy created by a secondment, to start within the next two weeks reporting to the Manager of Procurement Services. The Procurement Assurance Framework has been designed to undertake pattern matching analysis of lower value, high volume transactions to identify areas for improvement. The role has the following responsibilities discuss procurement assurance findings with key stakeholders including those at an Executive level review procurement assurance tests as administered by Microsoft BI provide feedback regarding enhancements required to Microsoft BI tests deliver updates to Procurement Assurance Framework document consider reasons for non compliance and develop and support delivery of action plan to enhance ongoing compliance undertake internal communications to raise awareness of procurement assurance framework review IBAC procurement related reports and recommendations and implement changes to assurance framework as necessary. Your success will be determined by your previous experience in a similar role and the following are highly desirable Degree level tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce (or equivalent) Strong audit background Procurement knowledge (preferred) Ability to update Procurement Assurance Framework Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong stakeholder skills Ability to work independently Strong problem solving skills Microsoft BI knowledge (preferred) Either CPA/CA qualified Pre-employment screening, including criminal history and discipline history checks, may be undertaken on persons recommended for employment.
